Shred-It UK Expands Operations

Company says it sees strong demand from businesses in U.K.’s South Wales region.
Shred-it UK has acquired South Wales Shredding Ltd., a document destruction company based in Cardiff, Wales.
South Wales Shredding, which services South Wales and the southwest region of England, provides on-site and off-site collection and disposal of confidential material.
According to a press release, the acquisition gives Shred-it UK two locations in Wales and 17 branch locations throughout the United Kingdom.
In the release announcing the acquisition, Robert Guice, executive vice president, Europe, Middle East and Africa, for Shred it, says, “We are very pleased to have made this key acquisition in Cardiff. It will allow us to enhance the services we can provide to our existing customers based in and around the Capital. It will give us immediate and additional resource to expand beyond our location in Bridgend (Shred-It UK’s first Wales location) and take on more customers in South Wales.” He adds, “We are committed to continuity of service for all our customers and look forward to working with our new customers to meet their document destruction needs. “
In the same release, Peter Driscoll, director of South Wales Shredding, says, “We are very pleased to be joining forces with Shred-it as a fast expanding provider of document destruction in Wales and the U.K.’s market leader. We believe that our customers will benefit from the expertise and enhanced services Shred-it will provide. We are looking forward to being part of such a successful company.”
