German company takes over DocuCare B.V.
The German company Rhenus Office Systems has has acquired the mobile shredding company DocuCare B.V., based in the Netherlands, through its Dutch operations. DocuCare’s business is focused on the destruction of documents and data storage media through the use of mobile shredding vehicles at customers’ premises.
Gerrit Merten, international manager for Rhenus, says, “The acquisition of DocuCare is a sign of the international expansion of our business activities as a systems provider for document logistics and it strengthens our presence in the south of the Netherlands.”
Merten notes that DocuCare’s shredding trucks will complement Rhenus’ existing stationary file and data storage media destruction services in the Netherlands. “We can now offer our customers a mobile solution for destroying information storage media, regardless of what kind of device has been used or the degree of sensitivity.
In total, Rhenus Office Systems operates 23 document shredding sites in Europe and provides services for more than 15,000 customers across the continent.
