SDB Staff December 17, 2012
Tom Dumez, formerly of Michigan-based Kent Record Management, where he provided training and consulting services regarding compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), has started a new company called Prime Compliance LLC, Grand Rapids, Mich.
Prime Compliance will continue to provide the industry’s original employee HIPAA training program, according to Dumez.
“We want to continue to be the first choice for RIM (records and information management) company owners who are seeking to provide a ‘real world’ and comprehensive educational program that encourages compliance by each of their employees—the very people that pose the greatest risks—and in a way that they understand,” he says.
Prime Compliance also offers training in other regulatory areas as well as consultation in risk mitigation, risk assessments, policy and procedure review, business associate agreements and RIM for every level of operator, Dumez says.
Prime Compliance will offer introductory training packages and rates. More information is available at www.thehipaaman.com
