NC Shredding Firm Wins Award
American Security Shredding, an Asheville, NC, document destruction firm, has been chosen as the 2008 Best of Asheville Award in the Shredded Paper category by the U.S. Local Business Association. The association’s "Best of Local Business" award recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country.
Each year, the USLBA identifies companies that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.
Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the USLBA and data provided by third parties.
The company has been in business for five years and offers both mobile and plant-based shredding opportunities. The company has one shredding truck, as well as a box truck to handle plant-based shredding. The company also is considering adding a second mobile shredding truck to its operations, depending on market conditions.
Wes Boyd, owner of the company, said the decision to go ahead with the business came when he realized that there was no local, independent shredding operation in the Asheville area.
