Confidential Records Management Inc. (CRMI), a provider of secure records management services to customers in North Carolina, has received Privacy Plus Certification from Professional Records and Information Services Management (PRISM) International.

PRISM’s Privacy Plus Certification is designed to ensure that records management providers meet stringent industry standards for maintaining the confidentiality and the security of the records they keep. Program requirements include development of written policies and implemented physical, administrative and technical safeguards to ensure that records are protected against unauthorized access or disclosure per regulatory requirements.

“Confidential Records Management Inc. has always held high standards when it comes to safeguarding client data, whether it is in paper or electronic format,” says Gail Bisbee, president and CEO of CRMI. “This certification allows us to highlight these security standards and provides us with a resource to stay current on industry regulations and document security best practices.”

In addition to Privacy Plus Certification, the company holds AAA Certification from the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) and National Records Centers Inc. (NRC) certification as well as being compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
