Frank Minnella, CEO of Lock America International Inc., Corona, Calif., has announced that he will move to an advisory role with the company, stepping back from daily involvement in operations. He also announced two promotions designed to help with this transition.
“I’ve been active in the security lock business for over 30 years, and it’s time for a new generation to take over operations and marketing for Lock America,” Minnella says. “Watson Visuwan, who is moving up from sales manager to vice president of marketing, has proven himself in many roles at Lock America over the last 15 years. With the promotion of Dan Walsh to sales manager and the development of the rest of our team, Watson has the resources to take the company into new markets while building on our success in our present businesses.”
Visuwan has held numerous positions with Lock America, Minnella says, from packing orders to business development and sales management. “He’s done the job wherever we’ve put him,” he adds.
Walsh, who will replace Visuwan as sales manager, joined Lock America in 2011 as a sales associate. According to the company, his success in developing and building accounts in Lock America’s many markets, especially amusement, vending, propane and self-storage, has led to this promotion.
“Dan has shown from the start that he knows how to listen to customers and prospects, determine their needs and work to meet them,” Minella says. “This promotion recognizes his rapid growth in the company and his increased responsibilities. A number of our new markets have grown this year, thanks in part to Dan’s contributions.”
For more than 30 years, Lock America International has developed and marketed a wide range of locks and security products for many industries, including amusement, coin-op, information destruction, newspaper distribution, recycling, self-storage, propane and vending.
