Rob Alston, CEO of Livermore, Calif.-based Access Information Management, has announced the company’s acquisition of Adams Data Management, which it describes as the largest independent records and information management services provider in Georgia, with facilities in Tucker and Gainesville.
This transaction expands the company’s southeastern regional operations and adds to Access’ facilities and capabilities in the Greater Atlanta market.
With its recent acquisition of Retrievex, Access now provides services in 26 markets throughout the United States and in Costa Rica.
"Access has long enjoyed and benefitted from its presence in the Atlanta market and, today, with the addition of Adams Data Management, we are dramatically expanding there,” Alston says. “With our newly expanded team in Atlanta we are committed to providing the former Adams clients with the very best records and information management services possible, including both paper-based records management as well as comprehensive digital solutions, off-site media management and secure destruction services.”
Adams’ President Jimmy Adams says, “I am excited for Adams to be a part of Access. Our clients have been asking us to expand our service locations so that they could receive the same, high level of service they have come to expect from us locally. Now that we are part of the nationwide Access network, they will have new, broader capabilities available to them here and in other markets. This is truly a winning combination for our clients and the members of our staff.”
Nate Campbell, Access chief operating officer, says Access added up to 600 customers with the acquisition of Adams Data Management.
Access Information Management, following the company’s recent acquisition of Retrievex, is the largest privately held records and information management (RIM) services provider in the country, serving 26 U.S. markets. Access’ complete suite of services includes records management, data protection (electronic computer media), secure destruction and digital formatting services. Access is backed by growth equity investor Summit Partners
Adams Data Management was established in 1984 and provides records storage and management, data protection, scanning and imaging and destruction services.
