Records and information management firm closes 2012 with acquisitions in markets it currently serves.
, a Livermore, Calif.-based records and information management services firm, reports that it has acquired FileSafe of Jacksonville, Fla., and Sheeler Moving and Storage of Ventura, Calif., in late 2012. Both companies are located within markets Access currently serves.
According Access, FileSafe customers will be relocated to Access’ current facilities in Jacksonville, while Access will maintain the record center location currently housing Sheeler’s records division.
“We welcome our newest clients in Ventura and in Jacksonville,” says Rob Alston, CEO of Access. “We know they will benefit from the increased capacities, broader capabilities and the nationwide footprint Access represents.”
Peter Berndt, general manager of Access’ Jacksonville facility, will be in charge of FileSafe’s relocation, while Robert Cummings, Access vice president for the southwestern region, will manage the integration of the Sheeler acquisition.
Access, which is backed by growth equity investor Summit Partners, completed numerous acquisitions in 2012, including Adams Data Management, Washington Archives Management, Records Retention Service, Priority Records Management and its associated companies, Filing Source group and Retrievex. The Retrievex acquistion made Access the largest privately held records management company, with more than $100 million in annual revenue and serving 27 markets in the United States.
