Excel to Distribute Durasteel Fireproof Vaults

Racking provider to expand line with Durasteel fire protection products.
Excel Storage Products, East Stroudsburg, Pa., has announced that it has entered into an agreement with U.K.-based The Invicta Group, manufacturers of Durasteel fire protection products, to be the exclusive North and South American representative for Durasteel fireproof barrier walls and vaults.
According to Excel, Durasteel products complement Excel’s line of warehouse storage products, particularly for the records and archive storage market.
“In addition to its fire-blocking properties, Durasteel also provides protection against impact, explosives, smoke, toxic gas, moisture, steam, mold, earthquakes, flooding, corrosive elements and electromagnetic fields,” according to a press release issued by Excel.
The Durasteel system is modular and can be custom configured. It is suitable for paper, film and digital media storage; preservation of historical documents and artifacts; enclosures for computer equipment; safety enclosures for fire escape routes and safe rooms; valve and cable enclosures; and isolation for HazMat areas among other applications.
